Administration of Examination:  At the completion of the lecture, the State Board of Dentistry requires attendees to take a comprehensive examination.  Attendees must make a score of 70% or greater in order for their name to be forwarded to the Board as successfully completing the course.


INSTRUCTOR

J. Stansill Covington, DDS

 

Dr.  J.S. Covington  is Professor and chair of the Department of Biologic and  Diagnostic  Sciences  in  the  College  of  Dentistry and  also former Professor  and  Chair  of  the  Department  of Dental Hygiene  in  the College of Allied Health Science at  the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from  the University of Mississippi, a Master of Science degree  in  Organic  Chemistry  from  the  University  of Memphis,  and  a  Doctorate  of  Dental  Surgery  degree  from  the University  of  Tennessee.   He is a recipient of the Distinguished Teaching Award at the University of Tennessee.   He  is  a  Fellow  of  the  Royal  Society  of Medicine  in  London  and  a  member  of  the  American  Dental Association,  the  American  Dental  Education  Association  and  the International Association for Dental Research.
