We are excited to announce that the Missouri Dental Association will be joining us next year for our 2020 Trip to Antigua! You will not want to miss that exciting CE Trip at one of 2020’s most popular destination getaways! Join us and earn 12 hours of CE credit in beautiful Antigua and stay in the islands BRAND NEW ALL-INCLUSIVE RESORT! We are excited to team up with the MDA for this exciting event!

Date: February 22-29, 2020

Once you have completed your booking through FunJets, you MUST email Lacy Dear at email@example.com with your confirmation number to finalize your registration for both the trip and CE courses!
Courses: We will offer 12 credit hours of CE on this trip – course details are listed below. Course will take place on Monday, February 24th from 8:00am-5:00pm and Tuesday, February 25th from 8:00am-Noon.
Fees: The CE will be FREE to all AGD and MDA members – you only need pay the cost of your trip! Please note that you MUST book your trip through the FunJets group number GPFJSMISSOURI022220 (also listed in the Google Doc) AND email your confirmation number to firstname.lastname@example.org in order for the CE fee to be waived! Otherwise a $50 non-refundable fee will be charged PER CREDIT HOUR and collected by MOAGD Treasurer David Dear, DDS, MAGD on-site at registration!

Deadline: This trip operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. When the rooms are full, the trip is full. Please note that due to recent travel issues in the Dominican Republic and Mexico, we do anticipate Antigua to become a popular destination for 2020. Course Title: Tongue Tie Releases and Uses for CO2 Laser
Instructor: Stuart Dexter, DDS
Subject Code: 135 – Laser Therapy/Electrosurgery
Credit Hours: 2
Description: The course will cover issues with infant tongue tie regarding feeding and potential developmental problems. Additionally, will show how it can be used for frenectomies, uncovering implants, and helping to manage tissue around natural teeth and implants. A CO2 laser is safe, fast, and generally causes minimal post operative discomfort.
Course Title: Tips and quips to get you through the day when treating kids (and their parents J)

To provide participants with strategies enabling them to explain pediatric oral health concepts to parents in a non-confrontational way and maximize efforts in oral health
Discuss oral hygiene – who, when, why and how
Discuss oral care during pregnancy – why is it important and how do I address it?
Discuss diet – how much, what to avoid, what’s going on?
Discuss teething/baby teeth/tooth loss – when, why, what’s going on?
Discuss sucking, licking, biting habits – how do we stop them?
Discuss frenectomies – why, when, how to decide?
Discuss non invasive treatments that may be available – when, how?
Discuss behavior – how can we help?
Course Title: Implant Placement, Immediate and Traditional
Instructor: Daniel Lieblong, DDS
Subject Code: 690 – Implants
Credit Hours: 2
This course will cover procedures in the diagnosis and treatment planning of Implants and the surgical techniques involved.
This lecture will also address cases of removing the tooth and immediately placing the implant, and cases placing implants in edentulous locations. Topics covered will also include cone beam evaluation, placement x-rays and completed restorations when possible.
Course Title: The Dynamics of Proximal Teeth Contacts Around Implant-Supported Restorations
Instructor: Dr. Mohamed Marzouk, DDS, MSD, FICD
Subject code: 690 – Implants
Credit Hours: 2
Description: A discussion of considerations when restoring implants in contact with natural teeth. This course will also cover the topic of mixed implant bridges with natural teeth.

Course Title: Nutrition & Yoga

Subject Code: 770 – Self-Improvement
Credit Hours: 4
Description: You will experience Yoga through body flowing movements. A quicker paced set of yoga sequences to strengthen, lengthen and find power within. Once your body is full of calm you will be treated to nutrition advice and ideas. Enjoy the experience by bringing your own healthy recipe ideas to share.
